About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Category Insights Executive to join our team at Poundland. As a key member of our customer and market insights team, you will play a pivotal role in driving business decisions that shape the future of our company.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide clear and impactful insights into our customers' behaviors and motivations, promoting data-based decision-making across the organization.

You will work closely with our Trading and Marketing teams to inform and evaluate strategic initiatives, including category development, pricing, promotions, and new category launches.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining a deep understanding of our customers' needs and preferences
  • Analyzing market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities and threats
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic initiatives
  • Providing actionable insights and recommendations to inform business decisions

We are looking for a highly analytical and communicative individual with excellent Excel skills and a passion for customer satisfaction. If you have a strong understanding of multi-channel retail, FMCG category management processes, and external markets/competitors, we want to hear from you.
