Join Us as a Full-Time Cost Estimation Specialist in New Cross Gate

Overview
Support the Commercial Manager and/or Lead Cost Estimator in optimizing project profitability, addressing commercial challenges, and maintaining exemplary standards in accordance with Alstom's Policies and Procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee client payment processes and manage subcontractor accounts effectively
  • Enhance the Project Team's understanding of contractual obligations
  • Ensure precise documentation and provide essential reports for financial oversight
  • Participate in Monthly Project Evaluations and identify cost-reduction strategies
  • Establish and assess critical contract documents and financial plans
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Represent the Commercial team in meetings and actively engage in conflict resolution
  • Contribute to the professional development and EHS compliance within the commercial team

Primary Requirements:

  • Possess a graduate entry degree or equivalent qualifications
  • Experience in a contracting commercial department with a solid understanding of planning and construction cost analysis
  • Skilled in interpreting contract documents, risk management, and dispute resolution
  • Familiar with industry-standard contract forms and commercial terms
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities
