As a Cost Estimation Specialist, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, making a significant and sustainable impact on the environment. You will work closely with Senior Estimators and various teams within AtkinsRéalis to ensure precise reporting, benchmarking, and analysis of infrastructure costs for our clients. Continuous professional development is a priority, and our structured training programs will align with your career goals.

Essential Skills and Knowledge:
  • Experience in Infrastructure projects is preferred.
  • Comprehension of cost drivers that influence a project and the ability to translate engineering data into actionable cost insights.
  • Knowledge of direct and indirect costs and the methodology for creating estimates.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to present cost analyses clearly.
  • Ability to constructively challenge peers to achieve favorable results.
  • Effective interaction with diverse colleagues across various disciplines involved in client programs or within AtkinsRéalis.
  • Awareness of governmental initiatives and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Independently generate estimates at different project phases using various measurement techniques and estimating software.
  • Assist in developing a benchmarking database and reporting mechanisms to provide timely and accurate insights for decision-making.
  • Support the implementation of precise cost measurement processes, including progress and performance tracking.
  • Offer professional cost advice to stakeholders, including Procurement Specialists, Cost/Contract Management Personnel, Estimators, and Project Controls within AtkinsRéalis and for our clients.
  • Ensure ongoing enhancement of clients' policies, procedures, and resources related to cost and control services.
  • Collaborate closely with the Scheduling Team to ensure the integration and alignment of cost models and project schedules.
Qualifications:
  • Working towards or a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), ACostE, ICES, or a similar professional body.
  • A relevant degree or a combination of experience and qualifications.
  • Strong quantity surveying skills and a comprehensive understanding of the construction sector.
