About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Scientist to join our Biochemical Genetics Laboratory at Leeds Teaching Hospitals. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing scientific services and clinical advisory services in the areas of Newborn Bloodspot and Foetal Anomaly Screening.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain specialised knowledge in Newborn Bloodspot and Foetal Anomaly Screening
- Provide scientific services and clinical advisory services within these areas
- Take an active role in service development in the above area
Person Specification
Essential
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and deal professionally with clinical colleagues
Desirable
- Ability to initiate and co-ordinate R & D activities
- Previous working experience in Newborn Bloodspot or Foetal Anomaly Screening or Biochemical Genetics laboratory
- Experience of using techniques/analysers such as LC-MS/MS, GC-MS, AutoDELFIA, HPLC
