Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a vital role in various commercial activities aimed at optimizing project costs and minimizing risks. Your responsibilities will include:
- Structuring projects into manageable work packages for effective procurement.
- Evaluating bids from subcontractors and assigning work packages accordingly.
- Negotiating with the supply chain to secure optimal value.
- Overseeing payment applications from subcontractors.
- Preparing and submitting payment applications to clients.
- Tracking actual spending against the budget through Cost Value Reconciliation Reports (CVR).
- Finalizing accounts upon project completion.
- Supervising team workloads and ensuring efficient operations.
- Gathering and verifying commercial data from the team.
Candidate Profile:
This position is ideal for individuals who possess:
- A relevant academic qualification, such as a Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying.
- Experience in delivering high-value commercial construction projects as part of a team.
- Background in Tier 1 Main Contracting.
- Strong familiarity with NEC and JCT Contract Conditions.
