The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join their pre-construction team. As a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for providing cost advice to clients through cost planning, focusing on derisking complex and technically challenging schemes. You will also be involved in tender enquiries, presenting details to directors for agreement on whether to bid or not, and completing the risk register. Additionally, you will work with the pre-con team to meet deadlines, send out and vet subcontract enquiries, conduct site visits, attend tender review meetings, and build up the tender through to tender adjudication and settlement.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have worked for a similar Tier 1 or 2 building contractor. You should have experience in cost planning and have worked on medium to large value building projects (£15-20 Million+). A strong knowledge of the market and supply chain in the North West of England is also essential. You will be based in or be able to commute to Manchester daily and have excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office Packages. Knowledge of Conquest is desirable.
