About the Role

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at a SEMH school setting in Blandford.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the diverse needs associated with Mental Health, Anxiety, and Behaviour, and be able to adapt teaching methods to meet the unique requirements of individual students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialized support to students with complex needs related to Mental Health, Anxiety, and Behaviour, ensuring their individual EHCPs are effectively implemented.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to create an inclusive and engaging curriculum that addresses the specific challenges associated with Mental Health, Anxiety, and Behaviour across various subjects.
  • Foster a positive and nurturing learning environment to promote social, emotional, and mental well-being, with a focus on addressing anxiety and behaviour challenges.
Requirements
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years
  • DBS registered to the update service or willingness to apply for one with GSL Education
