Overview of the Organic Compound Analyst Position

In the role of Organic Compound Analyst, you will directly report to the Project Leader and play a crucial role within our team, focusing on the analysis and purification of organic materials. Collaboration with our Synthetic Scientists will be essential as you engage in various applications, including monitoring reactions, characterizing compounds, and identifying unknown substances.

This position is situated at Sterling's advanced laboratory facility, which is dedicated to early-phase and development research. Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting analyses of organic compounds utilizing various techniques, including LC-MS and HPLC.
  • Processing and documenting analytical findings.
  • Developing and refining analytical methodologies.
  • Executing semi-preparative HPLC purification processes.
  • Calibrating and maintaining laboratory analytical instruments.

Qualifications for the Position

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Hands-on experience with LC-MS and HPLC analytical methods.
  • Familiarity with semi-preparative HPLC and NMR is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to adapt to shifting priorities.
