Patient Services Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Services Assistant to join our team at Tean Surgery. As a key member of our administration team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our practice.
Key Responsibilities:- Greet and direct patients and visitors, providing a warm and welcoming experience.
- Manage appointments, including making and confirming bookings, and issuing appointment cards.
- Handle incoming correspondence, including letters, forms, and specimen bottles, and ensure accurate recording and processing.
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to patient queries and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Register new patients, temporary residents, and emergency patients, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Process and record information in accordance with practice procedures, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Perform various administrative tasks, including data entry, scanning, and photocopying, as required.
- GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English, Grade C/4 or above.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in EMIS or equivalent clinical systems.
- Good level of literacy and numeracy.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive and methodical approach to tasks.
- Good team player with ability to work flexibly as required.
