We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Multi-Asset Solutions Specialist to join our Asset Management division at Legal & General. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth research and analysis on investment managers in the private markets, including private equity, private debt, real estate, infrastructure, and renewables.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research and analysis on investment managers in the private markets, including private equity, private debt, real estate, infrastructure, and renewables.
- Work with clients to help them manage their private market assets, including researching new ideas, maintaining existing assets, and divesting certain allocations.
- Engage with investment managers and intermediaries to onboard, maintain, or divest fund allocations and directly-held assets according to client requirements.
- Support day-to-day aspects of multi-manager fund management, including coordinating with managers, internal teams, and clients on fundraisings, capital calls, distributions, fund extensions, liquidity opportunities, and ad-hoc queries.
- Contribute to IT systems projects and business process projects that impact the team and related business areas.
- Review the risks and performance of products/propositions to ensure they continue to meet the needs, characteristics, and objectives of the target market and are delivering good customer outcomes.
- Previous experience in manager research within the asset management industry/investment consultancy, or direct investment experience in a private markets context.
- Strong command of private markets investments with specialized knowledge in one or more asset classes, such as private equity, private debt, real estate, infrastructure, or renewables.
- Good understanding of the investment management industry, including investment strategy, fund management, and operational considerations.
- Knowledge of defined benefits and defined contribution pensions and insurance clients, particularly their objectives and constraints.
- Familiarity with investment performance measurement methodologies and reporting standards.
