Job Title: Travel Claims Administrator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Travel Claims Administrator to join our team at International Medical Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our policyholders and clients, ensuring that their claims are processed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the first point of contact for incoming calls, faxes, and emails, referring where necessary to the appropriate Claims Handler
  • Set up new cases and claims on our Trident Travel system, whether notified by telephone, fax, or email
  • Perform various administrative duties, such as external post, claims settlements, and attaching incoming mails to the correct area within the claims system
  • Verify policy issues and issue the correct claims forms
  • Act in a support and administration role as directed by Claims Handlers
  • Ensure all internal and external communications are dealt with in a professional, disciplined, and courteous manner at all times
  • Deal with enquiries from policyholders and clients on case-related matters in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner
  • Ensure that any information given is within the terms and conditions of the travel insurance policy
  • Ensure that all information obtained during a call is properly documented on the claim
  • Be familiar with our published service standards and ensure that any support provided is done so in accordance with these
  • Ensure that all telephone calls made and received and all emails and faxes sent and received are annotated on the relevant system
Requirements:
  • Previous insurance/assistance experience or similar (preferred)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, delivered in a clear and professional manner
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • A high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work under pressure in a close-knit team
  • Previous customer service experience in a similar role would be beneficial, but a positive, professional attitude and a desire to develop your skills are more important
  • Fluent in English and an additional language (not essential)
  • Previous administration experience (preferred)
  • Must be flexible to start later and finish later in the day
