About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the provision of a high-quality, consultant-led diagnostic neuroradiology imaging service. You will be responsible for sharing in the 24/7 cover of the service, including on-call duties on a rota basis. Along with your consultant colleagues, you will provide clinical supervision and professional management of radiology trainees.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the provision of a high-quality, consultant-led diagnostic neuroradiology imaging service.
- Share in the 24/7 cover of the service, including on-call duties on a rota basis.
- Provide clinical supervision and professional management of radiology trainees.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Completed general training in Radiology and Diagnostic Neuroradiology at specialist level in a recognised centre.
- Experience and skills in a subspecialist area of neuroradiology and willingness to develop these aspects further.
- Ability to work within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Enthusiasm for teaching and training.
- An appropriate level of leadership, organisational, communication, professional and personal abilities to be effective in the role of consultant diagnostic neuroradiologist in a large teaching hospital.
You will need:
- Primary medical degree.
- Full registration with the General Medical Council with a valid license to practice.
- Inclusion on the Specialist Register / Admission to the Register within 6 months of interview.
