Job Opportunity at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diagnostic Neuroradiologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic neuroradiology imaging service, you will contribute to the provision of high-quality imaging services to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the 24/7 cover of the service, including on-call duties on a rota basis
  • Provide clinical supervision and professional management of radiology trainees
  • Develop and maintain expertise in subspecialist areas of neuroradiology, including adult neuro-oncology, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, neurodegeneration, paediatrics, pituitary, and spine
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Teach and train junior colleagues, medical students, and other healthcare professionals
Requirements
  • Primary medical degree and full registration with the General Medical Council with a valid license to practice
  • Completed general training in Radiology and Diagnostic Neuroradiology at specialist level in a recognised centre
  • Experience in advanced imaging techniques related to Neuroradiology, including spinal injections
  • Excellent communication and liaison skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues
