We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Medical Director to join our clinical pharmacology unit at AL Solutions, a leading Life Science service provider. Our company has a strong focus on clinical pharmacology and Oncology, and we are looking for an experienced professional to contribute to our growth and success.

As an Associate Medical Director, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety and welfare of trial participants and delivering high-quality studies. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Study Conduct and Management: Ensure the safe and efficient conduct of clinical trials, including screening, ongoing monitoring, and post-study clinical examinations.
  • Principal Investigator (PI) Role: Perform the role of the PI, including First-In-Human studies, and provide leadership and guidance to research teams.
  • Team Leadership: Line manage a small team of Research Physicians and provide support and guidance to the Head of Departments for the clinical and enrolment departments.
  • Commercial Development: Participate in commercial development activities, including feasibility assessments and budget reviews, to drive business growth.
  • Document Development: Assess and develop key trial documents and reports, including study protocols, risk management plans, and safety reports.
  • Participant Evaluation: Evaluate participants' eligibility and obtain written consent for inclusion in studies.

Requirements for this role include:

  • A medical degree with GMC registration.
  • Experience conducting clinical trials in a clinical pharmacology unit.
  • Experience as the Principal Investigator in First-In-Human studies.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of MHRA Phase I accreditation requirements.
  • Previous line management experience.
