Shareholder Liaison Officer

Job Summary
Bristol City Council is seeking a highly organized and communicative individual to manage its relationships with companies it has established and owns. The successful candidate will work closely with the Council and the companies' top leadership teams to provide essential information and support decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Track major issues, schedule decision approval pathways, and prepare meeting agendas, briefings, and reports for the Council's Chief Executive, Leader, and Councillor Committee members.
- Engage with Managing Directors and Finance Directors to arrange performance reports and business plans presentations to the Council, and facilitate information sharing and collaborative connections.
- Take high-quality minutes, maintain accurate records, and produce effective communications materials to promote transparency in the Council's management of its shareholdings.
- Coordinate small project teams to deliver key work packages, including research, report writing, and oversight of project team members' tasks.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, the ability to communicate complex material effectively, and flexibility in handling dynamic situations. They will work in a small team, reporting to the Shareholder Liaison Manager, and be based in City Hall with opportunities for remote work.
