About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Student Support Mentor to join our team at The Grange Therapeutic School. As a Student Support Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of our students, who have social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students in lessons and around the school grounds
  • Assist with activities on and off-site, including vocational learning
  • Work closely with teachers and instructors to deliver lessons and activities
  • Contribute to promoting safeguarding and pupil welfare
  • Manage and record behaviour, as necessary
  • Maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment
  • Liaise with tutors and family support teams
  • Support behaviour management and student welfare, working one-to-one or in small groups
Requirements
  • GCSE C/4 or above in English and Maths, or equivalent
  • Experience working with young people
