About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Student Support Mentor to join our team at The Grange Therapeutic School. As a Student Support Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting the pupils in and out of classes, promoting their social, emotional, and mental health, and helping them to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support pupils in lessons and around the school grounds
  • Support pupils with activities on and off-site
  • Support teachers and instructors in the delivery of lessons and activities
  • Manage and record behaviour where appropriate
  • Upkeep of the classroom environment, including displays
  • Liaise with tutors and family support
  • Support behaviour management and student welfare
Requirements
  • GCSE C/4 or above in English and Maths or equivalent
  • Experience working with young people

The Grange Therapeutic School is an independent special school for young people aged 8-18 with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties. Our school is based in a Victorian country house near Oakham with stunning views and fantastic facilities to develop not only the educational, but also the social and emotional needs of our pupils.
