Paediatrician Locum Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced locum consultant paediatrician to join our team at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting acute general paediatrics, neonatal care, and outpatients.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe locum consultant paediatrician will be required to cover the general paediatric ward and admissions, level 1 + neonatal unit, labour ward and transitional care. The post may also include a small number of resident night shifts.
Person Specification- MRCPCH or equivalent qualification
- CCT Paediatrics or within 6 months of CCT or equivalent
- On the GMC Specialist Register for Paediatrics
- Post graduate qualification in child health or related subjects, education or quality improvement
- Broad training in General Paediatrics
- Level 3 Neonatal Experience and Training
- Training in developmental and community paediatrics appropriate for a General Paediatrician.
- Safeguarding training and experience
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the challenges of management.
- Demonstrate an interest in education and teaching
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents and staff
- Ability to work with and to lead a team
- Understanding of the importance of multi-disciplinary working in delivery of patient care
- Demonstrate participation in audit and research.
- Demonstrate ability to manage change and an understanding of the principles of service improvement
- Ability to travel to and from the hospital for the purposes of fulfilling job requirements
