About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Technical Support Specialist to join our team at SGS. As a key member of our Industrial and Environmental services department, you will provide administrative support to our teams and ensure the smooth operation of our daily activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative services to our Industrial and Environmental services departments, including responding to requests and queries from our QHSE/Operations Coordinator.
  • Assist with administrative, operational, and clerical tasks to ensure compliance with departmental requirements.
  • Enter certification data into our reporting system accurately and efficiently.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external and internal customers, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Assist with the booking of technicians' work and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Support the invoicing process and interact with suppliers and clients to procure spares and equipment as needed.
  • Assist with the procurement of required PPE and consumables, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with regulations.
  • Support the Senior Engineer in ensuring client documentation requirements are processed and received in a timely manner.
  • Provide backup support to the QHSE/Operations Coordinator during periods of absence.
Requirements
  • GCSE English and Maths or equivalent qualifications.
  • Desirable qualifications include recognized administrative skills certifications and IOSH Managing Safely.
