About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Nicholas Associates Group Limited. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain plant and facilities to a high standard, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Manage and improve plant and facilities, ensuring all works comply with SHE guidelines.
  • Ensure plant downtime meets targets, minimizing disruptions to production.
  • Maintain safety and cleanliness in the workplace, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Manage engineering stores, including stock and inventory levels, to ensure efficient maintenance operations.
  • Report and record all works using CMM systems, providing accurate and timely information.
  • Build and maintain working relationships with customer departments within the business, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Assist with engineering solutions and cost-effective repairs, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Support the production and maintenance team to ensure the plant exceeds its targets for performance, quality, and safety.
Requirements
  • Time served apprenticeship, preferably multi-skilled, with a strong background in electrical maintenance.
  • Qualified NVQ level 3 minimum, with a focus on electrical engineering and maintenance.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of maintaining plant and facilities to a high standard.
  • Good SHE awareness, with a strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, with a solid understanding of electrical safety and compliance.
  • Good fault-finding skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
  • Experience with TPM and PPM systems, with a strong understanding of maintenance planning and execution.
  • Good IT skills, with proficiency in software applications and systems used in maintenance operations.
  • Able to work as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
