Position Overview: We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to engage in pioneering research within the realm of Energy Demand Flexibility. This role is situated in the Energy and Environmental Engineering Research Group at the University of Reading, focusing on the analysis of electricity consumption data and the exploration of demand-side flexibility.

Research Responsibilities: The successful candidate will work under the guidance of esteemed faculty members, contributing to critical research efforts. Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing data related to electricity usage, household time use, and energy tariff structures.
  • Collecting and interpreting data on demand response initiatives, including national energy flexibility services.
  • Conducting independent research while playing a vital role in the preparation of scholarly articles for publication in top-tier academic journals.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A PhD (or nearing completion) in engineering, economics, or social sciences.
  • Proficiency in data analytics and handling.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team and work autonomously.
