Leeds, Leeds, United Kingdom Veritas Education Recruitment Full time
Job Title: Complex Needs Support

We are working with SEN based schools in Leeds who are looking to recruit complex needs assistants, confident in supporting children from ages 5-19 with high level needs and PMLD.

About the School

The school supports learners from 5 to 19 years old, with special education and complex needs. The learners attending the school have a variety of different needs, including Autism, Down Syndrome, Communication Needs (Verbal and Pre-Verbal), PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities) and medical/mobility needs too.

The school provides a variety of different ability classes for all children, coping and managing their needs to help them access their education to the best of their ability. The school has fantastic facilities to meet the needs of all children, along with a staffing team who are dedicated, passionate and caring when it comes to providing the best life and access to education for the learners attending the school.

The Role

The role is to support all learners across their school day, during their lessons and throughout their day-to-day timetable around the school, whether that be in the classroom or in other areas, such as playgrounds, lunch areas or in physio/medical sessions

Staff will need to be comfortable supporting learners of all age groups at times, as the school requires you to be flexible when it comes to supporting learners with complex needs.
