Job Description:

Veritas Education Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Assistant to join our team in Leeds. The successful candidate will be working with SEN based schools in the area, supporting learners with complex needs and PMLD.

About the School:
The school provides a supportive and inclusive environment for learners with a variety of needs, including Autism, Down Syndrome, and Communication Needs. The school has a dedicated staffing team and fantastic facilities to meet the needs of all children.

About the Role:
The Special Education Assistant will be responsible for supporting learners across their school day, during lessons and throughout their day-to-day timetable. This will involve working in the classroom, playgrounds, lunch areas, and physio/medical sessions. The successful candidate will need to be comfortable supporting learners of all age groups and be flexible in their approach.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have experience working with learners with complex needs and PMLD. They will be passionate about providing high-quality support and be committed to helping learners access their education. The successful candidate will need to be able to work independently and as part of a team, and be able to communicate effectively with learners, staff, and parents.
