Casualty Underwriting Manager

We are seeking an experienced Casualty Underwriting Manager to oversee our underwriting team.

This position provides a unique opportunity to collaborate with a group of experts in the field of underwriting, promoting team development and enhancing our service offerings. As the Casualty Underwriting Manager, you will be instrumental in formulating underwriting policies, conducting risk evaluations, and establishing pricing for various casualty insurance categories.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guide the team in establishing underwriting policies, pricing structures, risk acceptance criteria, and risk management for casualty insurance categories.
  • Ensure that our commercial lines strategy aligns with client requirements.
  • Examine technical and legal factors to reduce risks and identify potential opportunities.
  • Offer insights on emerging risks and opportunities within the underwriting landscape.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Significant experience in advanced underwriting positions.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial lines or general liability insurance.
  • Proven skills in managing a portfolio within liability underwriting.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
  • Capability to interpret data trends for informed strategic decisions.
