Technical Support Specialist - Remote/Hybrid - Competitive Salary

Opportunity:

Intec Select, a leading provider of cloud-based solutions, is seeking a dedicated support specialist with a strong background in Microsoft technologies to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing comprehensive support on a 24/7 basis, working in a collaborative environment that includes both day and night shifts.

As a Technical Support Specialist, you will have the chance to work with a variety of technologies related to Networking, Servers, and Cloud services, assisting clients with their technical challenges. We are looking for candidates with experience in 2nd to 3rd line support roles, who are comfortable working flexible hours.

You will be expected to communicate effectively, demonstrate technical expertise, and offer strategic advice to clients regarding their IT infrastructure. Your role will also involve facilitating significant business process improvements through enhancements to client technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engaging with clients to assess their technology needs.
  • Collaborating with clients to deliver projects within defined parameters of quality, cost, and timeline.
  • Clarifying client system requirements and understanding their operational practices.
  • Interacting with client personnel at all levels, necessitating strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Researching and implementing new technologies.
  • Presenting solutions through clear and concise reports using various software tools.
  • Designing, testing, and monitoring systems throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Preparing documentation and providing progress updates to clients post-implementation.

Required Technical Proficiency:

  • Expertise in Microsoft technologies, including Office 365, Exchange Online, and SQL; experience with MS Azure or AWS is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Azure AD, Intune, and Power Apps is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Server Operating Systems, Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V or VMware.
  • Understanding of network hardware including routers, firewalls, switches, and Wi-Fi.
  • Experience with storage solutions including SAN, NAS, SCSI, iSCSI, and Fibre Channel.
  • Knowledge of Mobile Device Management and security solutions.
  • Understanding of backup and disaster recovery technologies, with a solid grasp of business continuity planning.
