Technical Support Specialist

About the Role:

Intec Select is seeking a dedicated Technical Support Specialist with a strong foundation in Microsoft technologies to join our dynamic team. This position offers a pathway to advance into senior infrastructure roles within our organization.

As a Technical Support Specialist, you will engage with various technologies, including Networking, Server, and Cloud solutions, to assist clients in resolving their technical challenges. The ideal candidate will possess experience in a technical support capacity and will be expected to communicate effectively while providing strategic insights into IT infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with clients to assess their technological needs.
  • Delivering projects within defined parameters of quality, cost, and timelines.
  • Understanding client specifications and their operational practices.
  • Interacting with personnel at all levels within client organizations, necessitating strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Implementing and developing new technologies to enhance client systems.
  • Presenting solutions through clear and structured reports utilizing tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Designing, testing, and monitoring systems throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Preparing documentation and providing progress updates to clients post-implementation.

Required Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft technologies, including Office 365 Cloud, Exchange Online, and SQL; experience with MS Azure or AWS is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Azure AD, Intune, and Power Apps is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Server Operating Systems, Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V or VMware.
  • Understanding of network hardware including Routers, Firewalls, Switches, and Wi-Fi.
  • Experience with storage solutions like SAN, NAS, SCSI, iSCSI, and Fibre Channel.
  • Familiarity with Mobile Device Management and security products.
  • Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery technologies, with a solid understanding of business continuity planning.
