Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Oncology Chemotherapy Nurse who aligns with our mission to deliver exceptional care and outstanding service to our patients.
The unit operates during standard business hours, providing a supportive environment for patients undergoing chemotherapy treatment. Our facility is designed to accommodate multiple patients simultaneously, thereby minimizing wait times and enhancing the overall treatment experience.
We prioritize patient confidentiality and provide designated areas for discussions regarding sensitive health matters with our clinical and nursing teams.
Core Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Administering cytotoxic chemotherapy and monoclonal antibodies safely within the Oncology-Haematology patient group.
- Delivering high-quality nursing care in accordance with established hospital policies and standards.
- Supporting patients and their families throughout their treatment journey.
- Collaborating with the Senior Nurse for Chemotherapy Services and other team members to ensure optimal patient care.
While experience in oncology and systemic anti-cancer treatment is preferred, we are open to providing comprehensive training for the right candidate.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- Registered Nurse on the NMC register.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Relevant post-registration experience.
- Completion of SACT accredited training or equivalent experience.
Desirable:
- Degree in Nursing or related field.
- Experience in mentorship and assessment.
Skills and Knowledge
Essential:
- Strong management and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize patient care effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of cytotoxic treatments and their side effects.
Desirable:
- Experience with electronic prescribing systems.
- Knowledge of current research and quality assurance practices.
