About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Oncology Nurse to join our team at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Foundation Trust. As an Oncology Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive care to patients with cancer, addressing both acute medical needs and long-term health management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake nursing assessments and evaluations to develop appropriate plans of care based on individual patient needs.
  • Work under own initiative and without direct supervision, demonstrating excellent analytical ability and sound decision-making in changing clinical situations.
  • Provide comprehensive care to patients, including assessing and monitoring patient conditions, checking symptoms and vital signs, and arranging diagnostic tests.
  • Work effectively as a team member, promoting team and interdisciplinary relationships, and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 6 months paid experience as an Oncology Nurse within the last 2 years.
  • Comply with NMC Professional Registration and keep up to date with current nursing practices.
