Position Title: Virginia State Police Trooper

The Virginia State Police is actively seeking former graduates of the Virginia State Police Training Academy who are committed to enhancing roadway safety, serving and safeguarding their communities, and upholding the laws of the Commonwealth to ensure the safety of Virginia.

Highlights:

  • Eligible candidates may receive a $5,000 signing bonus upon successful rehire
  • Chance to represent and serve the Commonwealth of Virginia

Essential Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years old at the time of graduation
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Possession of a valid driver's license
  • Successful completion of pre-employment assessments and background investigations
  • Willingness to relocate within the state as necessary
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including holidays and weekends
  • Adherence to tattoo and body modification regulations
  • Submission of a rehire request letter with preferred locations

Additional Considerations:

  • Dedication to community service is essential
