Virginia State Police Trooper Rehire Opportunity

Job Summary:
The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking qualified applicants to fill the position of Virginia State Police Trooper Rehire. This role is responsible for promoting highway safety, serving and protecting the community, increasing community involvement and partnership, and enforcing the laws of the Commonwealth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enforce laws and regulations to ensure public safety and order
- Provide assistance to the public and respond to emergency situations
- Participate in community outreach and education programs to promote highway safety and crime prevention
- Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies to share information and best practices
- Conduct investigations and gather evidence to support criminal cases
Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must be a high school graduate or have a GED
- Must be a United States citizen
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must pass a background investigation and polygraph examination
- Must be willing to relocate and work rotating shifts, holidays, and weekends
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated commitment to community service
- Experience in law enforcement or a related field
