Join Our Team as a Residential Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Residential Worker at Essex County Council. As a Residential Worker, you will play a vital role in providing nurturing therapeutic care to children who have experienced trauma, supporting and caring for them as a parent would.

About the Role:

  • Provide individualized support to children in a residential setting
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
  • Support children in developing life skills and resilience
  • Manage challenging behavior using de-escalation techniques
  • Communicate effectively with children, families, and colleagues

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care or equivalent
  • Experience working with children and young people in a residential setting
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
