Job Description

Job Title: Technical Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Manager to join our team at Layered Reality. As a Technical Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of our immersive experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the technical operations of our immersive experiences, including the master show control system, lighting, sound, and AV systems.
  • Lead planned and reactive maintenance to ensure the day-to-day operation of our experiences is running safely, smoothly, and efficiently.
  • Coordinate with the cast and crew to ensure effective communication and information flow.
  • Develop and implement training initiatives to enhance the skills of the technical team.
  • Ensure the safe operation of all show elements, including lighting, sound, video projection, and venue automation.
  • Troubleshoot technical challenges that may arise during live show operations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory/management position.
  • Advanced knowledge of technical disciplines, including Audio, Video, Lighting, timecode, Dante, and QLab operation.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to articulate ideas effectively.
  • Experience working with Virtual Reality and ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including daytime, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
