Health and Safety Professional

We are seeking a dedicated Compliance, Health and Safety Manager to join our client's expanding team. This national role requires regular travel between the company's six depot locations.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement health and safety plans across all locations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations by evaluating practices, facilities, and enforcing policies.
- Work closely with site teams to drive improvements and bring about necessary changes.
- Conduct health and safety training sessions, monitor ongoing compliance, and investigate accidents or incidents, providing actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Maintain accurate health and safety records, manage departmental schedules, and oversee the implementation and compliance of all health and safety and environmental policies.
- Provide strategic guidance on health and safety matters, centralise and standardise health and safety procedures, and manage the training matrix across the group, including certifications like Forklift/IPAF.
- Ensure safe working environments across all depots and workspaces while managing compliance for health and safety audits, including ISO standards.
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent H&S certifications.
- Lean methodology experience is desirable.
- Proven H&S experience in construction, manufacturing, or engineering.
- Full driving license.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong drive and enthusiasm to promote a positive health and safety culture.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- A logical thinker with a methodical approach, taking full responsibility for tasks and projects.
- A strong emphasis on leadership and confident in communicating your vision and plans, while remaining open to collaboration and group standards.
- Calm and logical problem-solving skills, with a determination to achieve results, even in challenging situations.
- Set high personal standards and lead by example, driving your team to meet those standards with a proactive, hands-on attitude.
