About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and caring individual to join our team as a Support Worker at Sherburn House, a complex care service in Knaresborough. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with profound learning disabilities and complex physical health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend activities and events with individuals, promoting their social and emotional well-being.
  • Assist with meal preparation and medication management, ensuring the health and safety of our residents.
  • Support individuals with household tasks, such as cleaning and laundry, maintaining a clean and comfortable living environment.
  • Monitor and report any changes in physical or mental health to appropriate staff members, ensuring timely interventions and support.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided, adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Provide personal care to individuals, including bathing, dressing, and toileting, promoting their dignity and independence.
Requirements

We are looking for an individual with a compassionate and caring nature, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a willingness to undergo relevant training and development.
