Procurement Excellence and Sustainability Leader

A dynamic and experienced leader is sought to join our client's team as Head of Procurement Excellence and Sustainability. This strategic role will provide leadership and expertise in category management, sourcing, purchasing, supplier and contract management, and sustainability activities.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies
  • Drive capability development within the procurement function
  • Oversee the activities of the supply chain, ensuring alignment with strategic goals
  • Enhance the reputation of the procurement function through networking and building value-adding relationships
  • Provide strategic insight and actionable proposals based on external best practices and innovation
  • Improve supply chain resilience and efficiency to maximise business benefits
  • Ensure talent, processes, and systems are in place to deliver effective procurement outcomes
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to achieve common goals
Requirements:
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate others
  • Passion for sustainability goals and leveraging technology and innovation for efficiency
  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and presenting to diverse audiences
  • Deep knowledge of procurement tools, techniques, and processes such as Source to Pay (S2P) and contract management
  • Commercial awareness and strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities
  • Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and certifications, such as CIPS
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
