Job Summary

The Maternity and Neonatal Partnership Lead will act as a conduit between service users and staff across the Integrated Care Board, facilitating the exchange of thoughts and feelings to drive change and improvement in maternity and neonatal services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver the objectives of the Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership as outlined in the annual workplan, using influence to drive effective outcomes.
  • Represent the partnership at local, regional, and national meetings and events, providing independent challenge and scrutiny based on evidence gathered from parents, carers, and professionals.
  • Assist professionals in engaging with pregnant women, parents, and their families to enable authentic co-production and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support the development and management of programmes and workstreams, ensuring effective planning and delivery.

Requirements
  • Recent or current experience as a service user in maternity and/or neonatal services, or a postgraduate degree in Management Studies or equivalent.
  • Significant experience of working in a politically sensitive environment, with the ability to coordinate projects and influence stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure, prioritise workloads, and meet deadlines, with experience of managing risks and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to prepare and present concise communications to senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyse complex issues, prepare insightful communications, and understand the link between strategic decisions and direct service user experience.
