Inpatient Consultant Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Inpatient Consultant Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team on Ruby ward, a 17-bedded female acute ward in Aylesbury. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with severe mental illness and complex emotional needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality clinical care to patients on Ruby ward, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals to deliver effective and efficient care.
- Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures to ensure high standards of care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and agencies to provide comprehensive care.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives.
- Membership or Fellowship of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, or equivalent qualification.
- Approved Clinician (AC) status and Section 12 (MHA) approval.
- Higher specialist training in psychiatry, or equivalent experience.
- Excellent knowledge and experience in the assessment and treatment of patients with severe mental illness and complex emotional needs.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and other stakeholders.
