Job Title: Specialist Practitioner for Children's Mental Health

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Practitioner to join our team at Devon Partnership NHS Trust. As a Specialist Practitioner for Children's Mental Health, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people with mental health needs.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialist mental health assessment and therapeutic interventions for children and young people with complex needs.
  • Work collaboratively with children, young people, and their families to develop and implement personalized care plans.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of effective models of care to facilitate timely, clinician-to-clinician advice.
  • Provide leadership and supervision to junior staff members.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for children and young people.
Requirements:
  • Professional knowledge acquired through a degree supplemented by specialist training or equivalent experience to Master's level with a relevant core professional training (e.g. Nursing, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, etc).
  • Training in an evidence-based therapeutic approach.
  • Training in supervision and/or leadership skills.
  • Evidence of Continuous Professional Development.
