Job Title: Credit Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Controller to join our Finance Team at Jonas Software UK. As a Credit Controller, you will play a crucial role in the efficient and timely collection of debtor balances on multiple ledgers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Call and email customers to collect overdue payments and verify invoices for upcoming payments
  • Maintain comprehensive notes in the accounting system for reference
  • Regularly review aged debt reports to identify overdue debt and notify the Credit Control Manager or Business of any issues
  • Provide special focus on the collection of debt over 90 days and problematic debt
  • Work with customers and colleagues to resolve customer queries and facilitate payment
  • Input daily cash receipts to the ledger in accordance with Company processes
  • Hold responsibility for ledger maintenance, focusing on both debt and unallocated cash
  • Send out overdue account statements and reminder letters in line with Company processes
  • Prepare data to assist in the issuance of weekly debt reports
  • Attend regular AR meetings with Businesses
  • Support colleagues in achieving team goals by covering in times of absence
Requirements:
  • Experience in chasing customers and handling multiple ledgers
  • Demonstrated ability to process large quantities of data quickly and effectively, delivering results
  • Strong commercial acumen and financial analysis skills
  • Excellent IT skills, including high proficiency in Excel
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Great Plains software is an advantage, although full training will be provided
