Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Service Advisor to join our team at Police Scotland. As a Service Advisor, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional service to the public and the Force by responding to emergency and non-emergency calls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality service to the public and the Force by responding to calls and providing advice and assistance.
  • Record call information accurately on relevant systems and identify the level of initial police action required.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the Competency Values Framework (CVF) and its application in the role.
  • Participate in a half-day selection centre, which will comprise of exercises such as call taking, assessing and prioritising information, identifying locations, and numeracy, general, and geographic knowledge.

Requirements

  • Be a British citizen, a member of the EU or other states in the EEA, a Commonwealth citizen, or a foreign national free of restrictions.
  • Have been resident in the UK for a minimum of three years immediately prior to application for this role.
  • Meet the selection criteria and progress through the selection process.
