Administrative Support Officer for Bereavement Services

Position Title: Administrative Support Officer for Bereavement Services
Compensation: £12.18 per hour
Contract Duration: Temporary, 6 months
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
Location: Office-based
This role is integral to the operations of the Bereavement Services Team, and is being offered by Opus People Solutions Ltd on behalf of North Northamptonshire Council. The primary objective of this position is to deliver comprehensive clerical and administrative assistance, ensuring that client interactions are handled with the utmost professionalism and care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately document inquiries and concerns raised by clients.
- Effectively manage telephone communications and relay messages.
- Process telephone payments securely.
- Record and manage repair requests.
- Draft and type standard correspondence.
- Distribute necessary forms and documentation.
- Photocopy and print essential materials.
- Schedule appointments for team members.
- Organize and maintain files, including document imaging tasks.
- Handle incoming mail and ensure proper distribution.
- Maintain an adequate supply of forms and informational leaflets.
- Generate reports and performance metrics as required.
- Update and maintain computerized records accurately.
This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can work collaboratively within a team environment while providing exceptional service to clients. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the Bereavement Services Team in their daily operations.
