It is a dedicated space designed to improve access to emergency care and reduce waiting times for procedures, aiming to minimize patient stay durations.
The Acute Medical Unit will serve as a primary intake point for the local population, with a focus on establishing a comprehensive acute medical workforce to support service redesign initiatives. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the development and operation of this unit, which includes an assessment area, short-stay unit, and Same Day Emergency Care, fostering personal growth and a sense of belonging within the acute medical team.
