Job Title: Regional Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Director to lead our North East and Yorkshire & Humber region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering our vision and objectives in the region, ensuring the effective implementation of our plan.

About the Role

The Regional Director will lead and manage the activities of the Regional Support Team, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, including local government, industry, and academia. You will be responsible for implementing our plan in the region, focusing on member engagement, knowledge sharing, and regional infrastructure policy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team to achieve our regional objectives.
  • Motivate and engage volunteers to support our plan.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including local government, industry, and academia.
  • Implement our plan in the region, focusing on member engagement, knowledge sharing, and regional infrastructure policy.
  • Oversee and deliver high-quality regional events.
  • Collaborate with other regions to share best practice.
  • Engage with media on regional infrastructure issues.
  • Prepare and manage the regional budget.
Requirements
  • Significant experience in civil engineering, infrastructure, construction, or related sectors.
  • Proven track record of managing a team and working with volunteers.
  • Experience in business planning, budgeting, and financial management.
  • Excellent relationship building, communication, and influencing skills at a senior level.
  • Experience in project management and event delivery.
  • Experience of interaction with infrastructure stakeholders.
  • Passion for civil and infrastructure engineering and a commitment to promoting the profession.
