About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Highways Operative to join our team at Tarmac, working on the Norwich project of works. As a key member of our Highways team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality kerbing, paving, drainage, and patching works within the Norwich and Norfolk region.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of our programme of Highways works, working collaboratively with our sub-contractors.
  • Undertake works orders in a planned fashion, adhering to the highest quality standards.
  • Conduct regular safety observations and report any incidents on our Tarmac reporting system.
  • Perform pre-start checks on each machine, ensuring safe and secure operation.
  • Work towards gang targets, minimizing costs while maximizing profitability.
  • Ensure all plant is safely stored in designated areas at the end of each shift.
  • Participate in regular training sessions, updating your personal training plan with your line manager.
  • Achieve Company and Contractual KPI's, with a focus on year-on-year improvement.
Requirements
  • NRSWA card
  • Experience in construction and highways maintenance works
  • Valid UK full manual car driving licence (no more than 6 points)
