About the Role

Vontier is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of all payable transactions across multiple entities and countries in Europe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process invoices accurately and efficiently, verifying coding and matching with Purchase Order.
  • Payment Processing- Ensure timely and accurate processing of supplier payments.
  • Reconciliation- Review and reconcile vendor statements, resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Vendor Management- Communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders regarding invoice inquiry, payment status and other account related matters.
  • Employee expense- Review of employee expense and timely payment process.
  • Intercompany transactions and posting of invoices.
  • Month-End closing- Assisting with month end activities, preparing accrual reports, creating Journal Entries, AP control account reconciliation and reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, finance, and vendors, to resolve any discrepancies, issues, or inquiries related to accounts payable transactions.
  • Monitor and manage the accounts payable aging to ensure timely payment of invoices and avoid any potential late fees or disruptions to vendor relationships.
  • Prepare various accounts payable reports, analyses, and metrics for senior management.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within accounts payable function.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in accounts payable process in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable related internal controls and processes.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with accounts payable automation tools is preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Data-driven, KPI mindset with proven track record of driving improvements in accuracy and efficiency.
