Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to oversee various installation and construction projects within the Major Projects division at Prysmian Group. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and supervising a variety of construction activities across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and review Prysmian Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) or evaluate subcontractor documentation.
- Coordinate Lift Plans for operations conducted by Prysmian or assess subcontractor plans.
- Conduct daily risk assessments to ensure safety and compliance.
- Issue permits for high-risk activities to Prysmian or subcontractor personnel.
- Perform regular Sensible Monitoring to maintain project standards.
- Oversee all operations, inspections, or tests as per the Inspection Test Plan (ITP), ensuring adherence to procedures and documentation.
- Invite clients to witness locations as necessary using Inspection Notification forms.
- Document any non-conformance through Non-Conformance Reports during project execution.
- Maintain a snagging list to track outstanding rectifications.
- Prepare pre-work reports on site conditions and ensure reinstatement meets or exceeds recorded standards.
- Attend trial holes and review related reports.
- Maintain a daily site diary to document progress and activities.
- Capture daily photographs of work progress, regardless of activity status.
Qualifications and Experience
- Preferably possess an HND or degree in a relevant engineering field, though experience may be considered.
- Several years of experience in construction or energy sectors with a solid understanding of civil engineering principles.
- High level of proficiency in computer applications.
- Demonstrated people management capabilities and ability to work independently.
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
- A valid driving license is required.
