Job Title: Construction Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager to join our Estates Services team at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of assigned projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate projects from inception to completion, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the process.
  • Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets, and monitor progress to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including project teams, contractors, and suppliers, to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including health and safety, environmental, and quality management.
  • Manage and resolve conflicts and issues that may arise during project delivery, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Relevant degree in a field such as construction management, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in project management, preferably in a construction or estates management context.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
