About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Duty Officer to join our team at Mid Devon District Council. As a Duty Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our leisure facilities, working closely with our Centre Managers to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain high standards of product and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise staff to ensure they are meeting expected standards and provide guidance and support as needed.
- Cover for staff where necessary, including poolside, reception, and general recreation assistant work.
- Responsible for the day-to-day operational needs of the facilities, including ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Undertake induction training for new staff and ongoing training to ensure staff are equipped to deliver excellent customer service.
Requirements:
- Thorough knowledge of emergency action plans and normal operating procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Sound knowledge of IT systems and applications, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Customer service experience essential, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
