### Role Overview

As a seasoned professional, you will play a pivotal role in providing independent assurance over wholesale credit risk management processes and controls across NatWest's credit portfolios. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the integrity and effectiveness of our risk management practices.

### Key Responsibilities

* Provide quality, efficient, and effective assurance and influence business and risk managers to improve controls
* Lead and coach the team as they deliver audit engagements, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery while helping them realize their potential
* Leverage industry-leading audit methodology and tools to drive results
* Manage key stakeholders throughout audit engagements, fostering a deep understanding of business risks and facilitating open and effective discussions on key risks

### Requirements

To excel in this role, you will have a strong background in managing and/or auditing wholesale credit risk processes and controls through the credit lifecycle. This includes a deep understanding of credit risk sanctioning (underwriting), portfolio management, and workout (restructuring). You will also possess analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to dynamically assess and analyze both structured and unstructured data.

A thorough understanding of key regulations, including CRR and IFRS 9, is highly beneficial. A relevant quantitative degree and/or professional qualification, such as the CFA or FRM, is preferred.
