Job Title: Visitor Engagement Coordinator
Salary: £23,000 (Pro rata) with additional benefits for weekend and holiday shifts
Contract: Permanent

As a Visitor Engagement Coordinator, you will have a strong enthusiasm for history and a deep appreciation for museum collections, ensuring exceptional customer service is delivered to all visitors.

About You
In this role, you will possess:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • The ability to engage with a diverse audience, whether individually or in groups.
  • A capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in maintaining direct customer contact through service delivery and promotional activities.
  • Knowledge of best practices in visitor services.

About the Role
Your main responsibility will be to create a welcoming, safe, and accessible atmosphere for all visitors, ensuring they have an enjoyable experience while learning about the site and its collections. You will actively contribute to bringing the venue to life through its narratives, necessitating a passion for public interaction and engagement. Additionally, you will ensure that the venue and its collections are secure, clean, and well-presented at all times. Flexibility in your approach is essential.

This role also includes responsibilities in retail operations and assisting with events and educational visits. Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or educational settings would be advantageous.
